Why Rebecca
Twenty years as a qualified teacher came before my specialist clinical training. That order matters.
I am Rebecca Gough, founder of Think Thrive. Before I trained as an INPP Licentiate and Tomatis practitioner, I spent over twenty years as a qualified teacher, watching bright, capable children still struggle with things that seemed to come easily to everyone else, and knowing there was usually a piece missing that nobody had quite named. This is the work I found to fill that gap.

A Personal Reason, Not Just A Professional One
I am also a parent of a neurodivergent child
Long before Think Thrive existed, I was a mother trying to understand why one of my own children found ordinary things so much harder than they seemed to be for everyone else.
I watched this brilliant, happy, giggly little girl become withdrawn and angry with herself and with those closest to her. Each month that passed, she seemed to get further away and harder to reach. Others saw bad behaviour. I saw utter, raw distress.
Taking her through a programme that met her nervous system in the right way allowed her to re-enter the world as the thriving, intelligent, cheeky young person she is today.
That experience did not just point me towards this career. It showed me how much this work matters for whole families, and it shapes how I do the work now: without judgement, without rushing, and always starting with how a child feels before what they might be labelled.

Qualifications & Training
The training behind the warmth
Families often tell me the sessions feel relaxed, even enjoyable, for their child. That is deliberate. But underneath the warmth is careful, qualified work. Supporting how a child's nervous system develops deserves proper training, not guesswork, so here is exactly what stands behind it.

What Families Say
Trusted by families across West Yorkshire
“Rebecca did an amazing job helping identify which primitive reflexes my son needed support with. She was so knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun for him, something I rarely see, as he is usually withdrawn and anxious. Her warmth and expertise made all the difference, and I cannot recommend her enough.”Parent of a 10 year old boy
“Absolutely incredible progress already. This is no quick fix but fascinating to see the positive changes. Rebecca engages with my son in a fun and yet professional manner, so much so he actually enjoys going to his sessions. We can now manage outings with ease. I highly recommend Think Thrive to anyone whose child is struggling to navigate life due to neurodevelopmental challenges.”Parent of a Secondary School Child with ADHD
“Working with Rebecca has completely changed my daughter's day to day life. She can now go for sleepovers and is so much more confident. We cannot wait to work through the rest of the programme and continue to see the benefits for the whole family.”Parent of a 7 year old girl
“I cannot recommend Rebecca enough. My son had a pronounced Moro reflex which caused him to startle easily and be quite anxious. Rebecca identified this straight away and gave us some simple exercises to do which really helped. He is less anxious and now a calmer child as a result. I trust her skill set completely.”Parent and GP
