The Tomatis® Method
Retraining how the ear and brain listen together
The Tomatis Method uses specially filtered music, delivered through the Maestro device and Infinite headphones, to gently retrain how a child's ear and brain process sound. Programmes are built around each child's own Listening Test results, so the approach is individually tailored rather than generic.
It can help children who are hypersensitive to noise, who find it hard to tune out a busy classroom, or who hear plenty but hold on to little of it, supporting attention, language and a calmer nervous system.
The Ronnie Gardiner Method
Rhythm, music and movement, working together
The Ronnie Gardiner Method is a multisensory approach that combines rhythm, music and movement, bringing together what a child hears, sees, and physically does at the same time. Developed in Sweden and used internationally since the early 1990s, it was originally developed for rehabilitation and is also used to support healthy development.
Sessions can be done individually or in a group, and the method is used to support mobility, balance, motor skills, memory, concentration, and social and communication skills.
Both of these sit alongside my core work as an INPP Licentiate. If you are not sure whether your child's needs point towards primitive reflex integration, sound therapy, rhythm and movement work, or a combination, the free screening questionnaire is the simplest way to find out, or you are welcome to get in touch directly.
